Iligan's Best: The new Maria Cristina Falls

When I went home to my beloved hometown, I have learned that there is a new park at our famous Maria Cristina Falls and me as a the travel fanatic I would not miss this new place. One weekend we drive off to newly developed Majestic Waterfalls. I was amazed that I has developed since the last time I have been there, well that was around 5 years ago... Now there is a mini zoo, a zip line area and a travelers lounge where tourist and locals can enjoy the waterfall scenery in a more relaxing way.

Before we have to up the climb up to be able to see the beauty of the waterfalls, now you just have to ride up using your car get off your car and walk a little and there you have the majestic Maria Cristina Falls. However, I have noticed when we pass by the forest before there were wild monkeys that we can pass by but there was none when we went there recently. I think that this is because there are more people going to the area because of the tourist development. In the other hand if you are looking for animals you will definitely see many different animals at the mini zoo.

If you are up for a more adventurous tour you can try the zip line there are four stages for adult and there is also one designed for children or you may try wall climbing.

After your day trip you would need something to freshen you up there is a place where you can sit down to eat and drink while enjoying the breath taking view of the waterfalls. All in all it was great experience truly the government is taking action to promote tourism into the City

Amazing food @ 50’s Diner

We had our Baguio Trip this weekend and we heard that the place to eat is at this small resto down the corner. The theme of the resto is American 50’s that goes with the name of the diner.

As per Mr. Toni Candelaria owner of the place: the store has been operating for almost 25 years and still in boom. Why would they not be still in business when breakfast or any meal time in this place is to die for, with a great ambiance, music from the 50’s, waiters with cute 50’s uniform. The food was not just tasty but the serving is huge one platter is good for two persons . I could not stop staring at the huge amount of food that was on my plate that will only cost around P150.00.

It was indeed a good meal to start the day; you could not stop eating you just need to go for seconds even if you’re too full. So the next time you have plans on going on a trip to Baguio go visit 50’s Diner its one experience you won’t forget and the experience I want to do again.

No place like home

As many people have said there is no place like home. This is true. My hometown may be a small and provincial area but I keep coming back to my hometown. I worked and lived on different location of the country to big cities with tall and large buildings with skyscrapers and huge shopping malls and everything is just within your reach. Where the life of the city starts at night and it seems that city never sleeps, but it seems that there is something that I am looking that I cannot seem to find in the big cities. I always end up going back home to my beloved hometown, now I have found the inner peace and happiness that I have been searching for and I will never let go of it. This is why I say there is indeed no place like home.
